Carl Lee was born in Kings Lynn, England in 1975 and has since lived in numerous places from Germany to Yorkshire and Spain to Cyprus. He currently resides in Blackpool, England where he writes, mainly because it is too windy to go outside.
His first novel to be independently published was Trouser’s Edge in 2008. His flare for dark comedy struck a chord with a small but growing fan-base and so he released the sequel, Once Upon A Hell in 2009, concluding the trilogy in 2016 with Emery At The Gates. The trilogy has gone on to sell thousands of copies and forms an entertaining backdrop to his numerous other works.
He continues to write dark comedies as well as out-and-out horrors, depending on which particular muse is running with the baton, citing 'I think it’s important for me to write both comedy and horror, as to deny myself the pleasure of either one of them would be like ignoring one half of my brain. And that’s just rude.'
